Transitions Children’s Services was licensed by the State of California, Department of Social Services’ Community Care Licensing Division as a Foster Family Agency in July of 2009. TCS recruits, trains and certifies only the most loving and nurturing foster families. TCS offers foster families twenty-four hour support, initial and on-going training and financial reimbursement. TCS employs Master’s Degree level social workers to provide case management, support and continuing education services to children and families associated with the agency. TCS’ vision is to see all children in the foster care system reunified with their families when deemed safe and appropriate by the placing agency. Should a child need the services of a foster home, Transitions Children’s Services strives to provide the best out-of-home care possible until a more permanent plan can be achieved.
TCS will partner in philosophy and delivery of service with surrounding county child welfare departments in order to meet the needs of our children. TCS uses a Strength Based approach in the training of foster families and in the delivery of foster care services. Reunification and/or permanency are the ultimate goals of the agency and therefore are the cornerstones of case planning which will be supported throughout the treatment plan process.
